You look exactly
as young as you feel.
Let's make sure
your face agrees.

Fine lines and wrinkles are not one condition — they're several, with different causes and different solutions. At Le Sommet we identify what's driving your lines before recommending anything. The right treatment depends on where they are, what's causing them, and what you want.

Understanding Your Lines

Not All Wrinkles Are the Same — and That's Why One Treatment Isn't Enough

Dynamic wrinkles form from repeated muscle movement — forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet. Every time you squint, raise your brows, or furrow, the muscle contracts and the overlying skin creases. Over years, these creases become permanent. The solution: relax the muscle. That's exactly what neuromodulators do — BOTOX®, Daxxify®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® each block the signal telling that muscle to contract, allowing the skin to smooth.

Static wrinkles are present even when your face is at rest — caused by collagen loss, volume depletion, and years of skin thinning. These don't respond to neuromodulators because muscle movement isn't the driver. They respond to collagen induction through microneedling, muscle tone restoration through EMFACE®, and deep hydration through HydraFacial™.

Most people have both. A comprehensive approach addresses both. We determine which is which at your consultation and build a protocol from there.

How We Treat It

Our Wrinkle Treatment Options

Dynamic Wrinkles · First Choice
Neuromodulators
BOTOX® · Daxxify® · Dysport® · Xeomin®

Precision-injected into the specific muscles driving your dynamic wrinkles — relaxing the movement that creates the line without affecting natural expression. We offer four neuromodulator options because each has a distinct profile: onset speed, duration, formula purity. Joan Shelley, NP determines which is right for your goals at consultation. Daxxify® is our choice for patients wanting the longest interval between appointments — up to 9 months.

EMFACE®

EMFACE® simultaneously targets the muscles beneath the face and the collagen in the skin above — lifting and toning the structural layer while improving skin quality from within. The 23% lifting effect and 37% wrinkle reduction in clinical trials come from restoring the facial architecture that holds everything up, not from relaxing muscles or injecting volume. Ideal for patients who want a non-injectable approach, or as a powerful complement to neuromodulators.

Microneedling with SkinPen®

For static wrinkles driven by collagen loss and skin thinning, microneedling creates thousands of controlled micro-injuries that trigger the body's natural collagen and elastin production. Results develop progressively over weeks as new collagen remodels the skin from within. Adding PRP accelerates and amplifies this process. FDA-cleared for wrinkles including the neck — the treatment is structural improvement, not cosmetic masking.

Questions

Common Questions

What's the difference between BOTOX® and Daxxify®?+
Both are FDA-approved neuromodulators that relax the muscles causing dynamic wrinkles — the key difference is duration. Standard neuromodulators like BOTOX®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® typically last 3–4 months. Daxxify® is formulated with a peptide stabilizer that significantly extends its duration — up to 9 months in clinical trials, with a median of 6 months. For patients who find standard neuromodulator maintenance inconvenient, Daxxify® is worth discussing. The onset and aesthetic result are very similar; it's primarily a duration decision.
Will I look frozen or unnatural?+
Not in our hands. The "frozen" look that concerns people is the result of over-treatment — too much product, applied without regard for preserving natural movement and expression. Our approach is to use the minimum effective dose to relax the specific muscles causing your concern, while maintaining the ability to express yourself naturally. We have a strong aesthetic philosophy about natural results, and Joan reviews every treatment for appropriate dosing before it's administered. You should look refreshed and rested, not treated.
How soon will I see results?+
For neuromodulators: you'll typically begin noticing the muscle relaxation within 48–72 hours, with full effect at 10–14 days. For EMFACE® and microneedling, results develop progressively — the collagen remodeling these treatments trigger takes weeks to months to fully manifest. Many patients notice skin quality improvements within 2–4 weeks of microneedling; the structural lift from EMFACE® is typically most visible 4–8 weeks after the final session in a series.
Can I combine neuromodulators with microneedling or EMFACE®?+
Yes — and for many patients, combining approaches produces the best results. Neuromodulators address dynamic wrinkles; microneedling improves skin quality and static lines; EMFACE® restores muscle tone and structural lift. The three work on entirely different mechanisms and complement each other well. Timing matters: we recommend completing EMFACE® or microneedling sessions before neuromodulators, or waiting at least 2 weeks after injection before any treatment involving the face. We'll build a coordinated schedule at consultation.

Look like yourself.
At your best.
